Artisan Batiks are produced on the island of Java in Indonesia by skilled dye masters. Each yard of these sumptuous fabrics is unique, as the fabric is hand-stamped and then hand-painted multiple times, with many different pairs of hands working on every yard. Due to this specialized hand-process, there is a consistency to color and pattern, while maintaining subtle color variations that are so important to this traditional technique.

These 100% combed cotton fabrics measure 44" wide and weigh 3.1 oz. per square yard. To care for these fabrics, machine wash them on a cold delicate cycle, avoiding bleach, and wash dark colors separately. Tumble dry them on low heat, and remove promptly. These hand-made fabrics are produced in Indonesia.
